Samsung is about to take the wraps off its next-generation Galaxy Note 4 next week on Sept. 3, and the company is doing some teasing ahead of the big launch.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 4 is one of the most highly-anticipated devices of this year and is expected to launch with top-notch specs and features all around. The existing Galaxy Note 3 is already a powerhouse on its own, but its successor will surely come with notable improvements to take things to the next level.

Boosting anticipation even further, Samsung has now released a new official teaser for its upcoming Galaxy Note 4. As expected, the company didn't give away precious details regarding the device's specifications, but it did bank on the importance of its S Pen.

More specifically, Samsung is highlighting the importance of handwriting in our lives. While typing has become more common than handwriting in many cases, its S Pen still allows people to jot things down the old-fashioned way, even if it's not with a regular pen on a sheet of paper. In addition to writing things down, the popular S Pen also allows Galaxy Note 4 users to do much more through the Air Command menu.

In terms of specifications, leaks and rumors so far have suggested the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 will launch as a real powerhouse. The phablet is expected to rock a QHD AMOLED display with a resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels and come in two processor options, depending on region. One variant is rumored to pack Samsung's latest Exynos ModAP SoC under the hood, while the other should pack a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 processor. Both models should be 4G LTE-enabled.

Other rumored specs for the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 include at least 3GB of RAM, if not 4GB, a 16-megapixel rear camera with optical image stabilization (OIS), 32GB of internal storage capacity, microSD card support for additional memory, and a large 3,800 mAh battery. Some rumors also indicated that a larger-capacity 128GB model may be in the cards as well.

All specs are in the rumor state for now, however, so it is highly advisable to take everything with a grain of salt at this point. With a little more than a week until the official unveiling, we'll soon learn all there is to know about the new Samsung Galaxy Note 4 straight from the source. In the meantime, check out Samsung's latest teaser below.
