With the IFA 2014 trade show just around the corner, ASUS keeps dropping intriguing teasers for its upcoming smartwatch that is set to make its official debut at the event.

Excitement is building up ahead of IFA, as a plethora of new devices from various companies are ready to rock the show. With the wearable device market gaining momentum, an important part of the IFA 2014 will consist of new wearable gadgets ready to join the party.

Several heavyweight companies are expected to launch smartwatches or other wearable devices this year, and ASUS is one of them. The company already posted teasers for its upcoming smartwatch early last week, and now ASUS is at it again with a new image.

Posted on its Facebook account, ASUS' new smartwatch teaser features the same tagline, i.e. a quote from Kahlil Gibran.

"Time has been transformed, and we have changed," reads the tagline, accompanied by drawings of a watch.

Not surprisingly, the new teaser doesn't really reveal anything regarding the gadget's specifications, but it does aim to boost excitement ahead of the big unveiling.

The new image shows the upcoming ASUS smartwatch will have a sort of rectangular form factor, like most smartwatches out there, albeit this one seems to have rounded corners. No other information is currently available when it comes to the device's specs, pricing, or features, but ASUS should provide all necessary details at the IFA 2014 trade show.

Rumors so far have suggested that ASUS plans on making its smartwatch very competitive in terms of pricing, in a bid to challenge rivals such as Samsung, which already has several smartwatches on the market. Considering that the latest Samsung Gear Live and the LG G Watch retail around the $200 price point, ASUS' purported plans to go for an aggressive pricing could mean that its smartwatch could cost less than $200. Rumors pointed to a $100-$150 price tag, but it remais to be seen if this is the case.

It also remains unclear at this point whether ASUS will use Google's new Android Wear platform for its smartwatch. The recently-launched LG G Watch and Samsung Gear Live both run Android Wear, Motorola's Moto 360 will debut soon with the same platform on board, and LG also plans to unveil another G Watch R smartwatch at IFA.

With IFA 2014 rapidly approaching, we'll soon know all the details straight from the source. ASUS will officially unveil its smartwatch on Sept. 3 in Berlin, and we'll make sure to bring you the latest details as soon as they become available.
