The Asus Zenfone 10, one of the few remaining compact Android phones, now has its much-expected Android 14 update.

After nearly three months since Pixels got it, Asus said the worldwide release of Android 14 for Zenfone 10 users is here.

While this automatic download (OTA) is rolling out currently, it could take a couple of days to hit every device. The Zenfone's fresh software, Android 14, brought new things to do. People could see the update brought tweaks and improvements across the board.

Asus users waited patiently for this long-awaited update on their small but powerful Android phone. It's excellent that Asus came through for Zenfone fans, showing they care that their devices stay up to date.

The Android 14 update has a concise changelog, primarily upgrading the base from Android 13 to Android 14. Additionally, it includes updates for various built-in Asus applications like Mobile Manager, Contacts, Clock, Gallery, and more.

Notable enhancements in this update include customization options for the clock widget on the lock screen, new permissions for photos and videos, better display of battery usage per app, resolved speakerphone echo issues, enhanced Bluetooth headset stability, and fixed power menu issues.

This update rollout begins today, marking an anticipated advancement for Asus Zenfone 10 users worldwide.

The Asus Zenfone 10's Android 14 update, a hefty 1.3GB download, brings the device to software version 34.1004.0204.65. However, this update is being rolled out gradually based on device serial numbers, so it may take a few days to reach all 10 Zenfone units.

Head to Settings > System > System updates to check for the update manually. Asus strongly recommends backing up your data beforehand as some third-party apps might not yet be compatible with Android 14.

According to another source, the changelog highlights fixes for Bluetooth issues. Battery usage now showcases app usage in segments, and new permissions for photos and videos have been introduced.

Asus has revamped various built-in apps and introduced customization for the clock widget on the lock screen. Notably, the power menu now includes restart and shutdown options, a feature previously missing.

Alongside these improvements, the update incorporates all features of Google's Android 14.

The Asus Zenfone 10 Specifications

The Asus Zenfone 10 that came out last summer is a pretty sweet phone. It's on the smaller side for a phone at just 9.4mm thick and weighs less than six ounces, but it still has a fantastic massive screen of over 5.9 inches.

The display refreshes fast at 144Hz and gets super bright, too; some tough glass protects it. Being water and dust-resistant means you don't gotta worry if it gets wet on a rainy day.

It runs the newest version of Android right now and will even update to the next one, with power from Qualcomm's fastest chip yet paired with plenty of storage and memory. The cameras are no joke, particularly the main one on the back at a whopping 50 megapixels for super clear pics and videos, along with an ultrawide. The selfie cam is no slouch either at 32 megapixels.

But what impressed the users was the huge 4300mAh battery that can charge fast, wired, or wirelessly. It also comes in some sweet colors, like starry blue or comet white.

Benchmark scores show it competing with the top dogs, and the specs, like the insane display, make it a serious contender! At around $610, it is a solid buy.
