OPPO N3 teasers show strange rotating camera, 7075 aluminum alloy ahead of Nov. 29 launch
Alexandra BurlacuOPPO is again teasing the design of its upcoming N3 smartphone powerhouse ahead of its official debut, and so far it looks quite exciting.
The OPPO N3 is expected to make its formal debut on Nov. 29, boasting a high-end design made from premium materials. OPPO is apparently not wasting any time ahead of the big launch, as the company has posted a couple of more teaser images to boost anticipation for the OPPO N3.
First, OPPO practically confirmed that the N3 will use a special material - a durable and lightweight aluminum alloy that is also used in aircraft.
"The 7075 aluminum alloy was developed in 1936 and first used for aircraft in 1940," explains one of the teaser images, which popped up on Friday, Oct. 10. "It is the most widely used alloy in satellites and other aerospace technologies. Its use ranges everywhere from the tiniest devices to large-scale vehicular transport. It's even in your bicycle and rollerskates," adds the teaser.
Another image, meanwhile, popped up on Monday, Oct. 13, showing a rather strange rotating camera for the smartphone, along with the caption "It's your turn." (see image above).
The OPPO N3 leaked on several occasions so far, and the latest teasers from the company seem to confirm earlier rumors. Back in late September, OPPO teased on its Weibo account that the N3 would boast some kind of aerospace grade metal build. In a subsequent post the next day, the company continued its teasing and pointed at lithium as the material in question. OPPO fans and tech observers started speculating about the design of the upcoming OPPO N3, and OPPO has now finally revealed that the smartphone will use the 7075 aluminum alloy.
As OPPO itself touted, this material has come to have a range of different uses, and it's known for its durability, corrosion-resistance, and light weight. On the other hand, this 7075 alloy is not exactly cheap, so it will be interesting to see how OPPO will pull everything off.
In the midst of all of this build material frenzy, the latest teaser from the company again boosts excitement by showing a strange electric rotating camera for the device.
The OPPO N3 is expected to boast a 16-megapixel main camera with a 1/2.3-inch sensor, which will rotate just like the OPPO N1's camera in order to serve as both a rear- and a front-facing shooter. According to rumors, however, the OPPO N3's camera will be driven by a motor instead of requiring the user to manually control it. Other rumored specs for the OPPO N3 include a 5.5-inch full HD display, a powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 processor, and 3GB of RAM.
No additional information is available at this point, but we should get the official scoop straight from the source come next month, on Nov 29. In the meantime, OPPO will surely drop a few more hints through more teasers.
