Verizon Samsung Galaxy Note 4 Developer Edition now available, doesn’t come cheap
Alexandra BurlacuThe Verizon Samsung Galaxy Note 4 Developer Edition we've been hearing about is very much real, as the handset is now available for purchase.
Roughly one week ago, word came out that Verizon Wireless was gearing up to add the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 Developer Edition to its lineup of devices. Fast forward to present date, and this version of the smartphone is officially available on Big Red's network.
Despite earlier rumors that it would come with a discounted price tag, however, the Verizon Samsung Galaxy Note 4 Developer Edition sports quite a hefty price tag. More specifically, those who want to get their hands on this powerhouse with an unlocked bootloader will have to shell out $699.99.
As for how Verizon handles this Developer Edition version, the process is quite straightforward: it's the same Galaxy Note 4 with the same specs, software and bloatware, but it allows the bootloader to unlock via fastboot command. From there on, users can put any root and ROM to the Galaxy Note 4, with no restrictions.
As a reminder, the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 comes with top-notch specs and features all around, launching as the company's latest flagship phablet. The device sports a 5.7-inch Super AMOLED display with a stunning QHD resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels, and packs a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 processor under the hood, paired with a hefty 3GB of RAM. Other specs include 32GB of internal storage capacity, microSD card support for additional memory of up to 128GB, a 16-megapixel rear camera, and a 3.7-megapixel front shooter. A 3,220 mAh battery keeps things up and running, while Android 4.4 KitKat rocks the software side.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 4 is considered one of the hottest devices of this year and has proved to be in great demand so far. The addition of a Developer Edition will likely make it even more popular among Verizon customers, albeit the price tag may be a bit too much for some.
Nevertheless, if you're interested in the Verizon Samsung Galaxy Note 4 Developer Edition, you can now learn more about it or place an order on Samsung's website at this link.
