T-Mobile HTC One M8 for Windows officially available for $0 down
Alexandra BurlacuThe HTC One M8 for Windows is now officially available for purchase from T-Mobile as well, after breaking its exclusive ties with Verizon Wireless.
Devices running Microsoft's Windows Phone platform have grown in popularity in recent years, especially due to Nokia's Lumia efforts. Microsoft and HTC, however, wanted to offer even more on the platform, and the HTC One M8 arrived to offer a real high-end option for Windows Phone fans.
The original HTC One M8, which launched with Google's popular Android platform on board, enjoyed great success and received high praise for its top-notch specifications, features, and design.
The HTC One M8 for Windows retains the same specifications, features, and highly-acclaimed design, but offers it all on Microsoft's Windows Phone platform instead of Android. The device launched as a Verizon Wireless exclusive at first, but has now hit wider availability.
After launching on AT&T's network on Friday, Nov 7, the HTC One M8 for Windows has officially hit T-Mobile's network as well. The smartphone is available now for $0 down, followed by 24 equal monthly installments of $24.40 per month. The Uncarrier had already confirmed plans to launch the HTC One M8 for Windows and had even provided a support page for the device, so it was only a matter of time until the official release.
As a reminder, the HTC One M8 for Windows sports a 5-inch full HD Super LCD3 display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels and packs a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor under the hood, clocked at 2.3GHz and paired with 2GB of RAM. The handset further comes with 32GB of internal storage capacity, microSD card support for additional memory of up to 128GB, and a high-end Duo Camera setup on its rear, just to name a few highlights.
As previously mentioned, the difference lies in the OS department, and the HTC One M8 for Windows has already drawn plenty of interest among Windows Phone fans. The smartphone should now enjoy even greater success with its wider availability.
