Verizon ‘Connection Day’ promises digital treats for all wireless customers on Nov. 26
Alexandra BurlacuVerizon Wireless has just invented its own holiday, turning Nov. 26 into "Connection Day" to offer digital treats to wireless customers.
The day before Thanksgiving is one of the busiest travel days of the year, and Verizon Wireless want to help travelers stay connected and enjoy books, movies, apps, and more on the go.
"The hustle and bustle of the holiday season is about to become a little more enjoyable. Verizon Wireless has declared Nov. 26 "Connection Day" and is offering mobile users the chance to connect with everything they love in life - friends, music, books, news, and apps - on one of the busiest travel days of the year," Verizon touted in its announcement on Wednesday, Nov. 12.
On connection day, wireless customers will be able to enjoy neat digital goodies from leading content providers with whom Verizon has teamed up. Big Red is joining forces with Apple, Amazon, Boingo Wireless, Condé Nast, Gogo Technologies, JetBlue, and Pandora to offer a slew of attractive deals, all of which aim to make the day before Thanksgiving more entertaining.
"On Nov. 26, all consumers, regardless of wireless carrier, can receive everything from movies to free wifi to audio books to stream music, all compliments of Verizon," adds the announcement.
Here's what Verizon is offering on Connection Day:
These treats will be available for all consumers regardless of their wireless provider, but Verizon Wireless customers get an additional special treat. Effective immediately, MORE Everything customers who register for Connection Day at Verizon's special website here are eligible for a one-time 1GB of shareable data applied immediately to their account. Moreover, another 1GB of data will become available in their next billing cycle.
Those who are not MORE Everything customers, meanwhile, are eligible for a special discount on the mophie powerstation 4000 accessory, which can provide extra juice to their devices so they stay charged and connected for longer.
"As we approach the holiday season, we wanted to show how much we appreciate our customers," said Ken Dixon, vice president of marketing at Verizon Wireless. "We hope that not only our customers, but everyone, will take advantage of this day - a day to connect with family and friends, to learn something new about their device, or just to provide a little more entertainment during what can often be a hectic kick off to the holiday season."
