BlackBerry Passport, Z30 sport notable discounts in new limited-time deal
Alexandra BurlacuBlackBerry fans are in for a neat surprise this holiday season, as the company has just discounted the BlackBerry Passport and the Z30.
The Canadian company has been trying to make a comeback for a good while, after losing significant ground to rivals on the smartphone market. BlackBerry launched several handsets recently, and a new promotion now aims to make two of them more appealing to prospective customers.
As part of a new limited-time promotion BlackBerry calls Boxing Day, targeting interested customers in the U.S. and Canada, the BlackBerry Passport is available for $100 off in all available color options - red, white, and black. The older BlackBerry Z30, meanwhile, is now 50 percent off, selling for just $250 for Canadian customers, and 55 percent off at $225 for U.S. buyers. The promotion kicked off on Dec. 26 and runs through Dec. 30.
The recently-launched BlackBerry Passport stirred lots of interest since its launch, as it sports good specifications and an intriguing square-ish form factor. The older BlackBerry Z30, meanwhile, has not exactly been the most popular device out there, but it's nonetheless a capable smartphone and this attractive discount should help boost its popularity.
In addition to the BlackBerry Passport and Z30 smartphones, BlackBerry is also slashing the price of a number of accessories.
"Starting today through December 30th, we are putting a number of our top devices on sale at ShopBlackBerry. For Canadian shoppers, this includes $100 off every color (black, white AND red) of our powerful, critically-lauded, and much-loved BlackBerry Passport," the company touted in a new blog post on Friday, Dec. 26.
"Canadians can also save 50% off of the all-touch Z30, which is on sale for just $250, and get other discounts on accessories such as cases and more."
"We are spreading the Boxing Day joy to U.S.-based customers, too. The black, white and red BlackBerry Passports are $100 off their regular prices. U.S. shoppers can get also nab the white or black Z30 for $225 (55% off), and get discounts on various accessories at ShopBlackBerry and Amazon.com."
