BlackBerry Passport Valentine’s Day weekend special: $100 off in the U.S., $125 off in Canada
Alexandra BurlacuBlackBerry has slashed the price of its much-touted Passport smartphone in the U.S. and Canada as part of a new Valentine's Day weekend promotion.
This deal revolves around the fiery Red BlackBerry Passport variant, which has stirred lots of interest since its debut. At the same time, this offer is only available for a limited time, as it is set to expire on Monday, Feb. 16.
With this new Valentine's Day promotional discount, the BlackBerry Passport is now available for $100 off in the U.S. and $125 off in Canada.
"It's no secret that people are head over heels in love with the BlackBerry Passport, and starting today, we're spreading that love further," the company touted in a new blog post on Wednesday, Feb. 11.
"The Red BlackBerry Passport is the perfect color for the productive mobile professional who values power, performance and style. The color makes a vivid statement and this Valentine's Day, it's the perfect way to show your appreciation for someone special in your life and help them Work Wide."
While the Red BlackBerry Passport is the star of this new promotion, the company has also expended the same discounts to the black and white variants of the handset as well. Without the promotional discount, the black and white models of the BlackBerry Passport regularly cost $599, while the red variant goes up to $699 in the U.S.
As a reminder, the square-ish BlackBerry Passport boasts a 4.5-inch display with a resolution of 1440 x 1440 pixels and rocks a physical QWERTY keyboard that also allows for touchpad gestures. A quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor clocked at 2.26 GHz powers the handset, while 3GB of RAM should ensure a fast and fluid performance.
Other specs of the BlackBerry Passport include 32GB of internal storage, a microSD card slot for additional memory, a 13-megapixel rear camera, a 2-megapixel front shooter, and a 3,450 mAh battery. The smartphone also runs the latest BlackBerry 10.3 OS that brings a number of neat features and improvements to the table, including a digital assistant and the ability to run Android apps through the Amazon AppStore.
Interested customers who want to take advantage of this limited-time offer for the BlackBerry Passport can now purchase the discounted smartphone at this link in the U.S., or at this link in Canada.
