Since the day smartphones became the ultimate gadget one has to have, other accessories accompanying the device have also become trendy. Innovations on how a user can enhance their smartphone experience came out. Apps that could control another part of one's home were developed, and now there's more.

When using a mobile device, the only problem one could encounter is the limitation of having low battery or to run it completely empty. There have been a lot of start-up companies that have presented their solution to this problem, the most popular so far is the power bank, which some might dub as "emergency chargers." Another upcoming trend is the portable battery that has just started to surface this year.

This time it is another version of a charger that one can wear around - literally! This latest innovation is the smart belt called "Ion Belt." This would be the first of its kind: a smart belt and a charger on the go. And yes, the user will no longer forget to bring their charger again, unless of course they forgot to wear a belt too.

The smartbelt comes with its own built in batteries, a USB pin and port. It works pretty simple, just wear the belt like normal and when one sees the low battery warning, they can just plug their devices into the USB port and continue whatever errand they had for the day. The device has reportedly has a capacity of 3,000 mAh.

But how does it get the energy to charge a device? The answer lies in the USB pin connector that is a built in as a part of the belt's buckle. This is what the user needs to recharge at home either through their computers or wall sockets. The other end of the belt has a USK port which is adapted to all kinds of devices that the user might have, from their smartphone to their tablet or even cameras.

The Ion Belt is available in three different sizes which are small with 28-36 inches, medium at 33-39 inches, and large with 38-44. It started as a Kick-starter project and is expected to ship worldwide by June of next year. So far, the Ion belt has already sold 250 items of their $79 USD pricing. The next available price is their $89 USD early bird promo.
