Yamada Denki Unleashes Thinnest Windows Phone (It’s Even A Bit Thinner Than The latest iPhone!)
Mary Cris BalancioIt seems like it is an on-going trend that the bigger the screen, the better a smartphone is. But that is not the only case today, having the thinnest smartphone might just be the next trend in town. All the tech companies have been scrambling to try and outdo each other. The thinnest Windows phone was recently announced to the public and it surprised a lot of fans.
The latest handset by the Japanese tech company Yamada Denki named "Every Phone", offers a Windows 10 mobile experience that comes with reasonable hardware specs for the Japanese market. The mobile device provides a solid entry into the Windows 10 ecosystem. It is priced 39,800 JPY or about 320 USD.
The previous title holder of the thinnest Windows phone was Nokia Lumia 830 which measures 139.4 x 70.7 x 8.5 mm or 5.49 x 2.78 x 0.33 inches. But now, Every Phone will be so far the thinnest Windows mobile to date with a thickness of 6.9mm which is also slightly thinner than that of Apple's iPhone 6s which is 7.1mm or 0.28 inch thick.
Yamada Denki's Every Phone has a total dimension of 154.8 x 78.6 x 6.9 mm or 6.09 x 3.09 x 0.27 inches. The smartphone has a 5.5 inch display with a 1280 x 720 pixel resolution and runs at a 1.2 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 quad core processor.
The mobile device also has a 2GB RAM and an internal storage of 32GB which is expandable through a microSD card slot. The handset sports a 13MP rear facing camera with dual LED flash and a 5MP front "selfie" camera. It will also have a 2600 mAh battery. Every Phone also comes with Bluetooth 4.0 and LTE support over bands one, three, and nineteen.
The handset will be available in two color variants: black and white. The sale of the said mobile phone started in Japan last Nov. 28 and the company has even thrown in a free Bluetooth keyboard worth ¥4,600 JPY or $37.50 USD and a screen protector which is ¥900 JPY or $7.35 USD to their first 3000 buyers.
It is not announced yet whether they have plans to make an international version of the mobile phone or not.
