Lenovo has now officially unveiled the latest smartphone it has been teasing the public with starting late last year. The latest device is the Vibe K4 Note, the successor to last year's K3 Note model. The model seems to state the Chinese phone maker's quest for bringing a superior overall smartphone experience to users at a very competitive price.
The Lenovo Vibe K4 Note bears a design that is a bit different from that of its predecessor. The smartphone has a curved back panel, which is a bit similar to the Lenovo Vibe S1. It comes with a 5.5-inch full HD display with a 1080 x 1920 pixel resolution. It comes with a Gorilla Glass 3 protection.
The latest model runs on a 64-bit octa-core Mediatek 6753 chipset and is powered by a 3,300mAh battery that supports fast-charging technology. It has an internal storage of 16GB, which is expandable via a microSD up to 128GB, and has a 3GB RAM. The latest model from Lenovo supports virtual reality and has a USB-on-the-go.
It also has a fingerprint sensor or scanner at the back of the unit. It runs Android Lollipop with Vibe UI. The Chinese tech company said that the device will get Android Marshmallow in the future but didn't give any date as to when it will happen. The K4 Note also features a 13-megapixel rear shooter and a 5-megapixel front shooter. It supports 4G, NFC and dual-band Wi-Fi in terms of connectivity.
Lenovo is also launching the ANT VR headsets in the Indian markets, together with its latest K4 Note model. These headsets that make use of TheaterMax technology, together with the K4, deliver a virtual reality experience. The handsets can be bought separately at a price of ₹1,299 INR.
Meanwhile, the standard Lenovo Vibe K4 Note is priced at ₹11,999 INR. But if bought with the VR bundle, it would cost ₹12,499 INR, though consumers still have to buy the headset separately. The latest K4 with VR support is announced to go on sale on Amazon by Jan. 19; registration for it has already started on Jan. 5 at 3pm.
