Micromax Unleashes Canvas Fantabulet Smartphone To The Public
Mary Cris BalancioMicromax has just launched its new device, the Micromax Canvas Fantabulet, which could be considered the biggest smartphone yet that it has ever produced. The Canvas Fantabulet is said to be available only in one colour variant, which is Chrome Gold. It will be sold in India exclusively on Flipkart only for ₹7,499 INR.
The Fantabulet of Micromax has a 6.98-inch HD IPS screen with a 1280 x 720 pixel resolution. It runs Android 5.0 Lollipop on a 1.3-GHz quad-core processor. It also has a 1GB LPDDR3 RAM and an internal storage of 16GB, which is expandable up to 32GB via a microSD card. The latest device from Micromax boasts of being an entertainment powerhouse with a complete audiovisual experience having dual-box speakers that are integrated with DTS sound technology.
The Canvas Fantabulet sports an 8-megapixel auto focus rear shooter and a 2-megapixel front shooter. It has features such as voice search, smart contact prioritisation, Google Drive, Hangouts for video calls, etc. It also comes bundled with applications like Eros Now, Gaana, Kindle, Saavn with free 90-day subscription and a whole lot more.
Micromax's Fantabulet is a dual-SIM-based smartphone that supports 3G on one SIM and 2G on the other. It also supports GPS/A-GPS, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth4.0 and micro-USB in terms of connectivity options. Unfortunately, Fantabulet doesn't support 4G LTE. The new Micromax phone is being powered by a 3000mAh battery.
Micromax Informatics cofounder Vikas Jain said that with the launch of their Canvas Fantabulet, they have brought life to a new phablet category, which seems to be popular among users nowadays. With the release of the latest device, they have also once again pioneered a new category that will change the way people use their smartphones, making it their first choice for their consumption and productivity needs. Jain adds that the launch has come at the right time when mobile Internet is rising and an increase of demand on larger screens and video consumption is observed.
