Pokemon Go: How To Level Up Faster; Field Testing Extended to the US

Youtube channel Pokemon Go Gameplay has just uploaded a leaked gameplay, detailing how to level up quickly in the beta version of the game.

The Youtuber pointed out that as the player increases level, Pokemon levels go up as well, so players would need to level up quickly to get a high level Pokemon. He also advised against challenging gyms until level 5, due to the low amount experience points given, which was not worth the effort. He recommends focusing on catching Pokemon instead to boost levels.

Catching Pokemon will earn the player 100XP each, and catching new ones will give the player 500XP. The Youtuber also discussed about hatching Pokemon eggs, and players would need to walk 1km to hatch them, giving them 200XP. If the hatched egg is a new Pokemon, players will also get the new Pokemon experience of 500XP as detailed above, so that would be 700XP in total.

Evolving Pokemon will give players 500XP, and if the player does not have the evolved Pokemon yet, it will give the player an extra 500XP, getting a total 1000XP for every new Pokemon evolved.

The full video is shown below, detailing how to level up in gyms after reaching level 5.

In other related news, Niantic Labs announced that it will be expanding Pokemon Go's field testing to the US.

Nintendo's Pokemon franchise has undoubtedly one of the biggest video game fanbase ever, and the hype for their latest mobile game comes as no surprise. Developed by Niantic Labs for the iOS and Android, Pokemon Go is one of the most anticipated mobile games this year.

Niantic has written on their official blog that they, together with the Pokemon Company, will be inviting users to field test Pokemon Go in the US. Aspiring field testers can register by clicking on this link. Niantic, however, clarified that registering through this link does not guarantee access to the field test. The field testing serves as a closed beta of sorts, allowing field testers to share feedback that can be used to improve the final version of the game.

"Because the game involves numerous people playing in multiple countries at the same time, we have a lot to test before we publicly launch," Niantic has said in another blog post. "This is why we are asking for your help. We would love for you to--if selected--download the field test version and play it. Your regular gameplay and feedback will help us iterate, polish, and make the game launch-ready."

As of this writing, Niantic Labs has opened field testing in Japan, New Zealand, Australia, and recently in the US. Niantic has not confirmed whether there will be any more additional countries, altough a European release is highly likely.
