Google Nexus 7 2016 Update: Release Date Set For October?
Dheeraj RAfter a no-show at the recent Google I/O conference, the latest update on the Google Nexus 7 suggest that the release date of the device has been postponed to this year's fall i.e. October 2016. Even though the new smartphone from Google was highly anticipated to be unveiled in May, the company concluded the I/O event with different upcoming products preview including the new operating system, Android N.
University Herald reported that there are high chances that both the new Android N OS and the Google Nexus N device would be released at the same time this year. The main reason behind the delay in the release date is reported to be the Google's every year strategy to release a new device in order to showcase its new operating system.
Further, there are reports that the release date of Google Nexus 7 device has been postponed in order to ensure that the new smartphone is made available to the users fully equipped with the latest functionalities. Also, The BitBag reported that currently the Taiwanese smartphone manufacturer, HTC, is building two devices called as M1 and S1 for Google based on Android N operating system. The rumors suggest that out the two devices, one would be unveiled by the technology giant as its new Nexus 7 device in the coming fall season.
With the talks of the release date of the much-anticipated Google Nexus 7 device, t the new smartphone is expected to be launched in a mid-budget range with exceptional features. There are reports that the smartphone would also consist of split-screen functionality, which will enable the users to view their apps side by side.
Moreover, Christian Times reported that the Google Nexus 7 is rumored to consist of a 5.5-inch Quad HD display with 4GB of RAM. Many reports suggest that the new smartphone will also include a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor. The latest Android N operating system will add-on special pressure-sensitive displays such as Force Touch, Unicode 9 and 3D Touch to the upcoming Google's device.
The Google Nexus 7 will release in two variants i.e. 5-inch and 7-inch and is expected to be price around $400.
