Sony Xperia X Performance Release Date Set For July
Dheeraj RAfter the reports that the new Sony Xperia X is expected to be launched in the US on June 26, few reports have surfaced on the internet stating that the Japan's smartphone manufacturer is now planning to launch its new flagship device, Xperia X Performance, in the US. The reports suggest that the release date of the new device is slated for this summer in July.
IB Times reported that with the release date speculations, few reports also hints at the possibility that the pre-orders for the Sony Xperia X Performance will begin in this month itself i.e. on June 17. The reports also suggest that the new device will be sold in the US via only few selected retailers.
Further, few reports stated that the company is planning to release the unlocked version of its flagship device in The US. Christian Today reported that Sony's plan is being considered as an unexpected move as the company is known for its strategic policies with which it launches the mobile devices in the US through carriers.
Besides, it also reported that the main reason behind Sony not releasing the Xperia X Performance device through carriers is the recent problem with Verizon. GMS Arena reported that Sony had to cancel the Verizon release of the Xperia Z4v after the company failed to meet the product manufacturing deadline.
Meanwhile, it is reported that the Sony Xperia X Performance will be released with a 5-inch screen and 1080 x 1920 Tri-luminous display. The reports also suggest that the new smartphone will feature a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor with 3 GB RAM. The Xperia X Performance device is also reported to consist of 32 GB storage space extendable up to 200 GB via a micro SD card.
EN Gadget reported that the new Sony smartphone will also feature a 23 MP rear camera with excellent hybrid autofocus technology. The reports also suggest that the Xperia X Performance will also flaunt 13 MP front-facing camera with fingerprint sensor facility for added security measures.
The customers in the US can pre-order the new smartphone device from Best Buy, Amazon and B&H. The Sony Xperia X Performance smartphone is set to be released on July 17, 2016, and would be priced for $700.
