This isn't good news for the Kiseki fans because "Trails of Cold Steel 3" won't be on PS3 anymore. Unlike both of the previous installment of the game in this series which were released on PS3 and PSV platform, the third game installment, "Trails of Cold Steel 3" will be in PS4.This is the first time for Nihon Falcom to release its long-running RPG in PS4.   

Falcom gave further information that the third installment was in development since December 2015. It was also announced that the "Trails of Cold Steel 3" game is set in the same world as Falcom's other Kiseki series, including their first blockbuster series of The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky.

According to Anime News Network, XSEED will continue to release the English version of the Legend of Heroes series as they will release The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky 3, the third game installment of Trails in the Sky, on PC in the upcoming year, 2017.

On the latest edition of Dengeki PlayStation, a new image of Rean's (Trails of Cold Steel's protagonist) design emerges. It is shown that Rean is wearing a new white coat which is similar to Crowe's (Trails of Cold Steel's antagonist) black coat from the previous two game installments.

That promo poster is seen inside Tokyo Xanadu eX+ (Another cross story with Kiseki series) in an area called Star Camera. A confirmation was also coming from Nihon Falcom CEO, Kondo-san, on an interview written in Dengeki Playstation.

In the interview, Kondo-san stated that the design in the promotion poster will be Rean's official new design in "Trails of Cold Steel 3," as reported by PassionStation. It wasn't confirmed yet whether Rean, just like the previous two game installments, will be the protagonist for the third game installment.

"Trails of Cold Steel 3" will be released on 2017 in Japan exclusive for PS4 platform. There's no official confirmation whether or not this game will be released in PSV.
