It has been recently announced that the "Persona 5" release date will be delayed in the US compared to Japan.

Developer Atlus' Shin Megami Tensei initially scheduled the latest addition to the game series back in 2014 for PlayStation 3. They then moved the launch date to 2015 in order to support the PS4 console, however, the plan was postponed.

Last month, Atlus officially announced that it will be available in both Japan and America in 2016. The release date information was shared to the public right after they published a new trailer for "Persona 5," according to Engadget.

On the other hand, the game will be up in Japan on September 15th, 2016, while North American players have to wait five months after, which is set on February 14th, 2017. Also, the company offers the game's premium edition that will be only available for PS4 users, reported by Tech Times.

The premium edition entitled "Take Your Heart" will be sold for $89.99, along with it will be a soundtrack CD of songs by popular composer Shoji Meguro, a Shigenori Soejima's hardcover 64 pages art book, and a Morgana cat plushie.

For those who would decide to purchase the game's premium edition, they will also have the opportunity to get their hands on a Shujin Academy bag, steelbook case and a big storage box designed for all the items.

Meanwhile, players who would like to own one of those steelbook cases, it can also be purchased via a Playstation 4 pre-order for $59.99. The game will also have a standard PS3 version that will cost $49.99 for retail.

Atlus PR Manager, John Hardin recently wrote a blog post to address the questions with regards to the release date move to 2017. "Well, the biggest factor in the 2017 release date is attention to detail," said Hardin according to PlayStation Blog.

"When we show off Persona 5 at E3 next week, I think you'll understand what we mean," as continued.

For those fans who can't wait what's in store for them from Atlus and "Persona 5," the company made sure that the game is fully ready to give the "best possible experience" to its audience before its release date.
