Lenovo Unveils CPlus Bendable Smartphone And Tablet Prototype
Dheeraj RThe Chinese smartphone manufacturing company, Lenovo, is reportedly catching up with the latest trends and trying to reach the top with its new innovative products. The reports suggest that Lenovo unveiled the CPlus bendable smartphone and tablet at the ongoing Tech World 2016 event.
CNET reported that even though Lenovo has just showcased the prototypes of the bendable phones, the demonstrations are stated to have presented fully functioning products like phone bracelet and foldable tablet.
Further, there are reports that the bendable phones and tablets consisted of exclusive internal display components, which are described to be specially made for the foldable devices. The Verge reported that Lenovo had designed these components so that they remain compatible with the bendable phones and help them to work efficiently even after the so-called transformation.
"A flexible screen doesn't help without another set of parts," said Peter Hortensius, Lenovo senior vice president and chief technology officer, as reported by EN Gadget. Moreover, Peter said that Lenovo is continuously working to improve the bendable device's OLED display so that the customers can more proficiently interact with the user interface of the foldable phone and tablet.
The latest reports suggested that Lenovo introduced CPlus bendable phones, which can be folded and wore around the wrist. On the other hand, the company also showcased their foldable 9 to 10-inch tablets, which can be folded into exactly half the size of the phone.
Meanwhile, Phone Arena reported that the CPlus bendable device prototype also features silver hinges. The reports suggest that these silver hinges help the CPlus smartphones and tablets to easily perform the transformation activity.
With all the news about the successful bendable prototypes from Lenovo, few reports suggest that these types of devices are not durable enough for everyday use. Also, there is no official word on when the bendable phones and tablets will be released.
Some reports claimed that Lenovo would launch the bendable phones during the next Mobile World Congress in February 2017.
