Apple WWDC 2016 Update: Siri Comes To OS X? Details Here
Eve CesistaApple will later begin the WWDC 2016 keynote on Monday, June 13 at 10 AM PT/1PM PT at the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium and it is widely expected that the company will introduce Siri. However, there is also a news that the virtual assistant leaked information about a new innovation about OS X.
A screen shot provided by MacRumors showed the details wherein Siri responded differently when "Siri open settings in the window" were typed. Usually, the iOS settings apps will pop up when "open settings in the window" were commanded, however, adding "Siri" on the beginning lead to a voice response :"It doesn't look like you have an app named 'Finder'."
Brian Roemelle of Medium Blog wrote that the artificial intelligent bot spilled the beans that she might be coming to Mac OS X. The blogger wrote that Siri has been responding to certain questions with the quoted response.
According to his online journal, Finder is an integral part of OS X (or MacOS in the future) and "the default file manager and graphical user interface shell used on all Macintosh operating systems, the 'The Macintosh Desktop Experience,' which isn't on the iOS.
Given this "leaked information," it is safe to assume that the virtual assistant will finally be on Mac Desktop. The Cupertino-based company is also expected to unveil a Siri Software Development Kit, which could extend her capabilities in other devices.
Apple offers a live stream of the keynote program via Apple TV. Aside from the exciting news about Siri, Arstechnica reported that Apple might also add some Continuity features and reveal fresh details about Apple Watch hardware.
Also, it was reported that the iOS 10 might redesign Apple Music app and PayPal-like Apple Pay, to mention a few, but it is most anticipated that the company might not focus on hardware but still, better stay tuned for more updates.
