'Street Fighter V' Delayed Again As June DLC Release Date Moved To July; Balrog Enters The Arena

Players are starting to get used to the "Street Fighter V" DLC update delays. Capcom announced that it will once again miss the promised June release date for the game and will be pushed back to July.

VG 24/7 reported that the supposedly June DLC for "Street Fighter V" will be moved to July 1, which is not a radical departure from the expected end of month release. Fans are still disappointed, however, that the team were not fast enough to release it on the promised date.

Apart from the cinematic story mode and the introduction of kunoichi Ibuki, another classic "Street Fighter" character will be included in the game. Balrog will be joining the roster along with Ibuki in the newest DLC.

The popular "Street Fighter" boxer is showcased in a new trailer released by Capcom today.

Balrog has first been part of the "Street Fighter" roster in "Street Fighter II" in 1991. Once a great boxing champion and prize fighter, Balrog was banned from boxing for permanently injuring his opponents, leading to the death of one.

The ex-boxing champion joined the evil Shadaloo organization, and worked his way up the ranks until he becomes M. Bison's chief enforcer.

Balrog will be "Street Fighter V"s fourth DLC character, following Alex, Guile and Ibuki, according to Gamespot.

The surprise release of Balrog is reportedly a form of compensation for Capcom's DLC delay.

Writing on the Capcom Unity blog, the game publisher has previously guaranteed that the company will be more communicative with its fans in order to avoid disappointment in the future.

"We'll be the first to admit that we can improve our communication with the community, in terms of where our priorities lie around the game and status updates," Capcom wrote on the blog post.

"We plan to change that in the coming weeks and months and will work to quickly address topics that come up in the community as best we can," Capcom added.
