Google Nexus 2016 Release Date Happening In August? Two Nexus Smartwatches On The Way
Dheeraj RThe much-awaited Google Nexus 2016 device might get an August release date, according to the latest rumors. Reports claimed that the smartphone will be released along with the technology giant's new operating system Android Nougat.
Android Police reported that the beta testing phase of the operating system will be completed by the end of July and it will most probably release next month. This news has paved way for rumors that the release date of the Google Nexus 2016 device might happen in the month of August.
Meanwhile, Neuro Gadget reported that Google has hooked in HTC to manufacture the Nexus device. It is reported that the Google Nexus 2016 will be released in two variants, namely Nexus Sailfish and Nexus Marlin.
Reports claimed that the two variants will be almost similar except for their screen size. The Nexus Marlin is rumored to feature a 5.5-inch screen, while the Nexus Sailfish will sport a 5-inch screen. These smartphones will have a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor with AMOLED display, a fingerprint scanner, 3450 mAh battery, 4 GB RAM, and USB Type-C port.
Furthermore, the two variants of the Google Nexus 2016 phone are expected to feature a 12-megapixels rear camera with 8-megapixels front snapper. PC Advisor reported that the two will have different storage capacity, one will be made available with 12 GB storage and the other with 32 GB storage capacity.
With all the release date and specs rumors, the trending reports suggested that Google will also release two new Nexus-branded smartwatches, Angelfish and Swordfish. IT Pro reported that the two Android wearables will sport advanced Google Assistant AI integration features with Android Wear 2.0 OS.
The Nexus wearables will include LTE, heart rate monitor functionality, GPS with better text input controls. However, there is no official update on the probable release date of the smartwatches.
