"Hyper Light Drifter" brings epic action adventure experience and presented in classic 16-bit aesthetic, which perfectly fits its modern game mechanics.

With a "Very Positive" overall review on Steam and a score of 84 on Metacritic, this will game will easily secure a place in many PC gamers' collections. Owners of PS4 and Xbox One will surely be excited with its release this month based on a report from PlayStation Lifestyle.

Here are some notable reviews for the game;

IGN - 7.6 out of 10

"Hyper Light Drifter" got IGN's approval with it's fast-paced combat. Combat is seamless and the simplicity of the controls makes it streamlined, yet hard to master.

The game's art style also is one of it's stronger points. With hand-animated visuals, "Hyper Light Drifter" feels extremely vivid and life-like.

What prevents the game from getting at least an 8 or 9 was the lack of words with its story telling.

Gamespot - 9 out of 10

Gamespot highly praised the game for its rich content. Exploration is a huge chunk of the game's offering and it balances well with the action elements.

According to the review, Boss fights are also one of the game's strong points. It difficulty doesn't go around cheap gimmicks that'll frustrate some. Everything is almost masterfully executed, giving it almost the same feel when beating bosses on "Dark Souls."

The only minor gripe with the game lies with one of its strength. Given that extreme detail is given to just about any part of the game, it may sometimes confuse players on parts that aren't actually passable.

Getting stuck in a busy boss battle could be the last thing players would want to end up with. This could be due to mistaking walls for platforms, platformsfor cliffs, trees for bushes, and some other perspective mix ups.
