'Resident Evil 2 Remake': What Fans Can Expect To See; Game Brings Back Original 'RE' Horror
Carlo de LacyThe "Resident Evil 2" remaster is good, but a remake from ground up is even better. The publisher confirmed the latter with the "Resident Evil 2 Remake" and here are fans' expectations and feature wishlist.
Yummylee from Giantbomb's relatively old post about was actully updated. Thanks to the recent confirmation of the remake.
The announcement literally came out of nowhere and it caught everything by surprise.
"Resident Evil 2" may be one of the scariest avenues in videogaming. To this day, that may still hold true. For others however, the "scare" factor is reduced due to its easy difficulty.
Sure, there were some features added after finishing the game, but they didn't necessarily made the game any harder than it was. The age of "Dark Souls" currently reigns and varied difficulty settings may let the game cater to different types of skill levels.
"Resident Evil 6" featured multiple characters, which had their own stories lead up to each other at some point. This actually was a feature first seen in the original "Resident Evil 2."
The original scenarios mode however, is not without some imperfections. With the remake up in the works, an improvement to this could highly be expected.
In a discussion in Gamefaqs, majority of users also agree to the idea of including all the enemies or so called "B.O.Ws" seen in the original game. Addition of other creatures like zombie cats, insects and even children could also be a nice addition.
Voice acting is also one aspect of the original game that even hardcore fans found a bit lackluster. Fans, however, feels safe to assume that this would greatly be improved given the track history of the franchise from "Resident Evil 4."
About a year ago, one report from Gamerant stated that Capcom was, in fact, asking the opinions and requests of the solid fans of the "Resident Evil" franchise. However, it was not set to stone.
At the very least, all the fans needed was a confirmation from Capcom and they definitely got it.
