'Pokémon Sun and Moon' Final Starter Evolutions Leak: Suspicious Patterns From Google Suggest Legit Source
Carlo de LacyWith the official announcement of "Pokémon Sun and Moon" coming this Nov. 18, fans went full gaga over the news. Most of the rumors revolve around starter pokémon, and when a big company like Google gets involved, things get pretty interesting.
Rumors about " Pokémon Sun and Moon" final starter evolutions had been keeping online fans busy speculating. Just a week ago, rumors regarding potential features and leaked images of starter final evolutions are scattered around the web.
These rumors mainly originated from Smogon's message boards. A user named Cresselia was able to post and very believable list of information regarding a leak from " Pokémon Sun and Moon" Chinese localization team.
The information was posted through Smogon mods' approval. Sandalit, for one, was spotted in leak a week before it was officially announced.
Here's a small chunk of the list. Be aware, however, that these are called rumors and speculations for a reason despite the potential spoilers;
- There will be no traditional Gyms and no Pokémon League in Alola. Your goal is to actually create one. After you do, an Elite 4 will appear which are the leaders of each island.
- The final starter evolutions will be an Archer, a Wrestler and a Siren.
- The diamond stones will be collectible throughout the region and act similarly to Mega Stones but not exactly.
- New Pokémon based on a dolphin, sea cucumber, snowman, mushroom and a rugby monkey are there.
- Rockruff's evolution is a Werewolf.
- Mashadow, another copyrighted Pokémon name, has a very unique type combo.
In this small list, the most intriguing part is the final starter evolutions, which coincides with this image that surfaced online some time ago. People dismissed this as mere fan-made arts.
Interestingly enough, they started vanishing mysteriously from Google's image search results. It would be no surprise if the image on the above link goes poof soon as well.
Google is a pretty big company, if not the biggest. If it isn't about removing potential piracy, celebrity nude photo leaks, and censorship, then why bother weeding out mere "fanarts?"
