This season will characterize the age of mysteries, with the Ultra Beasts, particular Pokemon originating from the Ultra Space, as the main subject. These strange Pokémon were first captured by players in the games titled Pokémon Sun and Moon of Generation 7. Previously, Nihilego, Pheromosa, Buzzwole, Xurkitree, Celesteela, Kartana, and Guzzlord appeared in "Pokémon GO" as Ultra Beasts. In addition, four of the Ultra Beasts, namely, Poipole, Naganadel, Stakataka, and Blacephalon, remain unadded to the list.

The Teaser ends with an ultraviolet spotlight centered on a cybernetic turntable hinting at the appearance of Ultra Beasts.
