'Pokémon Go': Why You Shouldn't Try Finding Zapdos, Moltres And Articuno Yet

C. de Lacy

In just two weeks, the Internet has already succumbed to the craze that is "Pokémon Go." Almost all rumors have already been covered and the most discussed topic would still be the legendaries. This includes Zapdos, Moltres, Articuno, and others like Mewtwo, Mew and Ditto. Can we catch them all yet?

There are numerous guides regarding catching specific pokémon on specific settings, areas and trainer level. However, dealing with legendaries is an entirely different story. Zapdos, Moltres and Articuno. The three representations of Teams Instinct, Mystic and Valor are the most popular amongst the rumors.

With all these guides, there is one common factor that dedicated trainers need to be aware of. None of the guides specifically details how a legendary pokémon is caught. Neither video nor image were out to prove the claims.

While NesstendoYT's work on finding files within the game's sources are credible, it is worth noting that these legendaries will be enabled in the game. This is pretty much similar to Disc-Locked Content, but not as equally bad.

VG247 also reported that players are only likely to find rare legendary pokémon through official events in various countries. As with Niantic's "Ingress," special events are held to let teams compete with each other.

Afterall, Niantic has full control over what is going on with the game. With fans already aware of the existence of Zapdos, Articuno, Moltres, Mewtwo, Mew, and Ditto in the game's files, enabling them may be as easy as adding a line or two of codes and have it rolled out in the servers.

Among the best tips for trainers is to practice continuously and to keep leveling up. With no clear methods on nabbing a legendary, the best factor players can improve right now are their in-game levels as this also reflects with the catching abilities.

Right now, all answers regarding when, where, and how these legendaries can be catched can only be answered by Niantic itself and here's to hoping that, that time would be some time soon.
