Skiplagged: The Best 'Pokémon GO' Map Since PokéVision; Use It Now While It Still Works

For players of the widely popular "Pokémon GO," game publisher Niantic pushed some updates where it almost broke the game's radar system. People had to rely to 3rd party services like PokéVision, which the company also blocked. Now users need to find a good alternative.

With the developers' decision to shut down PokéVision, some players of "Pokémon GO" are left with no choice but to hunt and find pokémon the hard way. Good thing, there are still some working alternatives for the 3rd party tool, and one tool that stands out is called Skiplagged.

Originally a tool for finding airfare and hotel rooms, Skiplagged now joins the "Pokémon GO" craze with their own pokémon-inspired tool.

It does the same thing thing that PokéVision did. It shows the realtime locations of pokémon in the area and it will even indicate before the pokémon disappears. The tool can even filter the search results by name or rarity.

The tool is only available through a browser though and not exactly optimized for android mobile phone use. There were no announcements made for data mode.

It may only be a matter of time before Niantic hunts this tool and have it shut down as well, but given that it is projected for desktop browser users, it could be around for longer than PokéVision, which only had one purpose.

The tool is not, in any means, related with Niantic, so the information that players may get from it may not be as accurate. However, the same could be said with PokéVision. After all, there's no real risk in getting banned using them so it would be safe to use them until they are around.

There's no telling until when Niantic will stop smashing 3rd party services for its reported defunct radar system, but hopefully, "Pokémon GO" gets a proper fix that will not force trainers and players looking for unofficial solutions.

Stay tuned for more updates, tips and tricks about "Pokémon GO."
