Disney has already confirmed that Johnny Depp will be playing the role of Captain Jack Sparrow in the upcoming "Pirates of The Caribbean 5."

However, fans have anticipated that Orlando Bloom might take up a bigger role than Depp's. Additionally, there are reports suggesting that the upcoming installment of "Pirates of The Caribbean" titled "Dead Men Tell No Tales" might be last one for Depp.

However, some reports are quick to point out that this is not the case at all. According to Movie News Guide, Bloom has yet to prove his worth in the franchise opposite to Depp, whose character has already become synonymous with the movie.

Despite the rumors and the varied reports, Depp's increasing age and the box office records cannot be denied

In a separate report from MNG, Disney is actually looking to make it appeal to the younger audience. This means that they are reportedly presenting new storylines and a slew of new characters to play along with it. The presence of a young Turner (played by Brenton Thwaites) could already be a step in that direction.

Additionally, Bloom has also hinted at his interest in taking part in the film as the lead character, in one of his earlier interviews.

"I'm not entirely sure that [I'll be back] just yet, but there are talks," he said. "Basically they want to reboot the whole franchise, I think, and do something with me and the relationship with my son," Bloom told IGN.

However, the producers of "Pirates of The Caribbean" are yet to speak out on the plot modifications and the reported change in casts.

Regardless of this, the "Pirates of The Caribbean" fans will be eagerly waiting to see their favorite pirate characters in action when the movie premieres on May 26, 2017.
