As the "Pirates of the Caribbean 5: Dead Men Tell No Tales" release date looms, various reports and rumors have surfaced after Johnny Depp was said to be causing trouble and delay for the film.

Jackie 'O' Henderson, DJ on leading Australian breakfast radio show "The Kyle and Jackie O Show" claimed that she was told by crew-members of the movie that Depp is frequently late and sometimes absent from the set while filming at the Gold Coast, Australia.

"I remember talking to some crew members from Pirates of the Caribbean and they just said, 'Working on that was a nightmare'," she said while talking to her listeners.

It is reported that Depp, who plays Jack Sparrow, has been very preoccupied with his failing relationship with now-estranged wife Amber Heard.

"He would never turn up [for work] because they were always fighting," added Henderson.

"She would drive him up the wall, and he'd never turn up on-set," Henderson continued.

Moreover, it was alleged that at one point, Depp cut the end of his finger and dipped it in blue paint and wrote a message on a mirror, accusing 30-year-old actress Heard of infidelity.

Depp was said to be high on alcohol and ecstasy when the incident happened.

There were reports at that time that the shooting for "Pirates of the Caribbean 5" was halt for four days because of Depp's hand injury and that he had flown back to the US to undergo surgery.

However, some reports said that he got the injury from a go-karting accident.

Meanwhile, there were speculations saying that the long impending Disney film will give more attention on Will Turner, played by Orlando Bloom, instead of Captain Jack Sparrow.

"Pirates of the Caribbean 5: Dead Men Tell No Tales" with Johnny Depp in the lead is slated to arrive in theaters on May 26, 2017.
