The action video game title "ReCore," one of Microsoft's heavy hitters this year, will be sold for only $40 at launch.

Fans have been anticipating the game since it was first introduced at Microsoft's E3 press conference in 2015.

The game is made by "Mega Man" creator Keiji Inafune, along with some of the devs behind the "Metroid Prime" trilogy.

This fact, accompanied by an awesome teaser trailer, is the reason why fans all over the world are baffled by "ReCore"'s measly $40 price tag, a noticeably lower amount compared to most AAA video game titles.

Amidst all the confusion about the price, Microsoft's Aaron Greenberg stepped in to explain the company's decision, via the TXR Podcast.

"With new IP like that, ideally, launch timing matters a lot," Greenberg said, "So that's why you're seeing us launch it as our first title of the season; it's coming in September. So getting out early."

"The second thing is it doesn't have an existing base of fans. So we have to build that fan base," he continued. "Rightly so, [players] are very thoughtful about, 'Where do I want to spend my money?' 'What games do I want to buy?'

:So we kind of have to earn their vote. We have to earn their trust. We have to earn their dollar," the Xbox Marketing Manager added.

Greenberg concluded that the game is priced at $40 to increase the chances of "ReCore"s success as a new IP.

"ReCore" is also one of Microsoft's upcoming titles to be included in the Play Anywhere initiative. To sum it all up, gamers will be able to get two copies of "ReCore," a game created by top notch developers, on both Xbox One and PC, at only $40.

Now the only way to solidify this sweet deal is if the game matches all the hype. We will find out when "ReCore" launches on Sept. 13.
