Windows 10 Redstone 2 Build To Feature Enhanced OneCore; Insider Preview To Be Released This Week
Dheeraj RThe latest update on the upcoming Windows 10 Redstone 2 hinted that it will sport the enhanced version of the operating system's underlying structure, OneCore. Reports claimed that Microsoft will unveil the build 14901 for the Development Branch Insiders first and then to the rest once the testing process has been completed.
Tech Radar reported that the upcoming Windows 10 Redstone 2 build will not consist of major improvements for the system rather than the OneCore upgrade. The OneCore structure is actually the fundamental of the Windows system embedded on various platforms like the PC, tablet, smartphones, Internet of Things, HoloLens, and Xbox.
"We're doing some code refactoring and other engineering work to make sure OneCore is optimally structured for teams to start checking in new features and improvements in a few months," stated Microsoft in a statement. "As a result, these builds may include more bugs and other issues that could be slightly more painful for some people to live with."
Furthermore, the technology giant stated that the Windows 10 Redstone 2 upgrade will consist of many bugs as they will be carrying out numerous tests on the OneCore assembly. Reports claimed that those developers who want to avoid the buggy situation can stick to the recently launched Windows 10 Anniversary update, which is tried and tested thoroughly.
Meanwhile, there are reports that the first Redstone 2 build for the Windows 10 operating system will be released by the end of this week, first for the PCs and then for the mobiles after a weeks' time. The Redmond-based company has instructed all the insiders to mark their Insider Ring settings on the Feedback Hub.
The Redstone 2 update is expected to be made available to all the Windows users early next year. However, no official confirmation has been provided by the company officials yet.
