Apple consumers have been waiting for the arrival of iMac 2016 as rumors have suggested that it will finally be available by the last quarter of this year.

It can be noted that the last update received for the desktop computer line of the American tech giant was in October last year. Thus, many have been speculating that the upcoming upgrade will also bear the same release date.

Should the new iMac be offered to start this October, which is only two months from now, what particular specs would it boast of?

According to the iMac 2016 rumors from MacWorld UK, the upgraded desktop from Apple would run on new AMD Zen processor, it is expected to show off "tremendous processing power."

The tech site dished that the new processor comes with eight cores and 16 threads, which it described as "a massive amount of raw processing power."

In terms of price, though, it is expected that iMac 2016 will be expensive considering that the new Zen processor is also pricey.

As for its expected graphics chips, the report stated that it would use the one from AMD's Polaris set.

Based on the gathered information of WCF Tech, AMD's Polaris 10 and 11 are said to make VR experience even more exciting, especially with its capability for high-resolution gaming.

"What you'll see us do is completely different with Polaris 10 and 11," Radeon Technologies Group Chief Architect Raja Koduri said. "We are really focusing on trying to bring FinFET technology with its amazing performance per watt to as many segments as possible."

"As many ranges of performance as possible," he added as he emphasized that "you'll be pleased at what we're going to do with this thing and you'll be surprised."

He also committed that gamers will surely enjoy the true value of their money following this development.
