Google Nexus 2016 Rumors Roundup: What We Know So Far; Device To Sport Android NMR 1 OS?
Dheeraj RThe upcoming Google Nexus 2016 smartphone is expected to be launched in two variants, the Nexus Marlin and the Nexus Sailfish, with excellent specs like enhanced Snapdragon processor and the latest version of the Android OS.
In this article, we will round up all the rumored specs and features of the new Google smartphone to provide you with an overall idea of the device.
To start with, reports from website Weibo claimed that both the variants of the Google Nexus 2016 will consist of Android NMR1 i.e. Android Nougat Manufacturer Release 1 with all the enhanced features of the new operating system like Google Assistant and Android Pay.
The first variant, Google Nexus Marlin, is expected to feature a 5.5-inch Quad HD screen with 2560x1440 pixel resolution. Recombu reported that it will be powered by a Snapdragon 821 processor with 4 GB RAM and 32 GB of internal storage. It will also sport a 12-megapixel rear and an 8-megapixel front camera.
Furthermore, 2016 Nexus Marlin will sport a rear fingerprint sensor for added security provision to the users. It is also stated that the device will feature a Night Light mode, which will provide the users with the facility to adjust lights.
Meanwhile, the reports from AnTuTu suggested that the second variant of the Google phone, which is the Nexus Sailfish, will sport a 5-inch screen with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor. The smartphone will also sport a 4 GB RAM with 32 GB of internal storage similar to the Nexus Marlin variant.
The Nexus Sailfish variant is expected to sport a 1920 x 1080 pixel resolution. It will also consist of a 13-megapixel rear and an 8-megapixel front camera.
Apart from the specs rumors, reports claimed that the Google Nexus 2016 will be released this October. However, there is no official confirmation till date. Stay tuned for more updates on the upcoming Google Nexus 2016.
