'Final Fantasy XV' News: Release Date Delayed To November? Listen To Florence And The Machine's Epic Songs For The Game Here
Jazz RosinA rumor is circulating around the Internet that the release date for the highly anticipated Square Enix RPG title "Final Fantasy XV" will be pushed back towards the end of November.
According to Gamnesia, that the game will not come out on the initially announced September 30 release date.
The game news site claims that a source, who is said to work within Gamestop management, has tipped them off that the game is now coming out on November 29.
This source claims that promotional materials for "Final Fantasy XV" has arrived in stores, and came with instructions not to put them up for display until after August 14, Sunday.
Gamnesia vouches for the reliability of this source, as the same source has allegedly leaked the release date for the New Nintendo 3DS, as well as the release date for "Star Wars: Battlefront."
Fans were unhappy about the news and did some digging themselves, and confirmed with multiple Gamestop stores that they are not aware of any delays being cascaded for the game.
Remember that this is just a rumor and should be taken with a grain of salt until we hear from Square Enix themselves.
In other more legit "Final Fantasy XV" news, UK-based indie rock band Florence and the Machine has recently released three songs for the game, Rolling Stone reported.
The three songs include two original songs penned for the game, "Too Much Is Never Enough" and "I Will Be."
The group has also released their own rendition of Ben E. King's timeless classic "Stand By Me," which you can listen to here.
"I've always seen Final Fantasy as a beautiful and creative game so I don't think I could have worked with another video game," Welch said. "It wouldn't have made sense."
"In some ways the landscape of Final Fantasy and my own internal landscape seemed to fit quite well," the singer added. "It's mythical and beautiful and epic."
Florence and the Machine's "Songs From Final Fantasy XV" is out now on iTunes and Spotify.
Unless Square Enix says otherwise, "Final Fantasy XV" is still slated for a September 30 release. Check back for updates.
