The battle between Microsoft and Apple continues with the new products that they are expected to launch soon - the Microsoft Surface Pro 5 and the MacBook Pro 2016.

As consumers continue to wait for more details and rumors about the upgraded Microsoft Surface Pro 4, we have gathered several information that might just excite you further about its release date.

According to PC Advisor UK, they have been impressed with the predecessor of Microsoft Surface Pro 5 upon their review. Should consumers then expect the same satisfaction level with the upcoming new device?

Based on the UK-based tech site's report, it was learned that the new Surface Pro model will be released by 2017, and not anytime this year as what was speculated in the past.

In a photo it obtained, it can be noted that placeholders for the supposed Surface variants were marked "2016," "coming soon" and "2017."

The report hinted that an announcement might be made by October 2016, but the availability of the Microsoft Surface Pro 5 might be set at a later date, which is in 2017.

Rumors have pointed out that a release date of Spring 2017 is reasonable considering that Microsoft's second big update to Windows 10 will only be available by early next year.

When it comes to the expected specs that it will come with, the report disclosed that its Surface Pen will get an upgrade as it will already contain a rechargeable battery that can be charged "wirelessly when magnetically attached to the tablet."

In the meantime, the Country Caller shared that Microsoft is still waiting for the availability of Intel Corp.'s Kaby Lake processor, another reason why it is impossible to see the Surface Pro 5 this year.

Accordingly, Kaby Lake will be released by the end of this year.
