'Pokémon GO' Dead In India, South Korea, China Due To Release Date Delay? Niantic Still Silent About Future Launches In Other Countries

It has been almost a month since Niantic Labs has announced the latest batch of countries where "Pokémon GO" will be released, but there is still no news on the release dates for India, South Korea, and China.

Fans have eagerly anticipated the launch of the popular mobile game in their respective countries since July, but aspiring Pokémon trainers in India, South Korea, and China are still waiting.

To make things even worse, Niantic Labs has been keeping silent about future release dates. A quick look on the official Twitter and Facebook pages will show that there has been no updates since Aug. 6, when the game was launched in fifteen countries in Asia and Oceania.

Now players in countries where "Pokémon GO" is not available yet have reportedly lost their interest in the game altogether, with some saying that they will no longer download the game once it is released.

"Also to clear things up, the game is already boring to a lot of people," the unofficial "Pokémon GO" India Twitter page posted. "I personally know people who have uninstalled."

Meanwhile in South Korea, Pokémon fans will be disappointed to know that the government has extended the review of Google's permission request to take mapping data out of the country. According to Reuters, the decision is due to be made by Nov. 23, so fans in South Korea may still have a long wait in their hands.

Google is also the main reason why the game is not out in China yet. According to Business Insider, Google Services are not available in China due to the so-called "Great Firewall Of China," the goverment's way of censoring the internet in the country.

As of the moment, there are no announcements from Niantic on whether or not they are still planning on expanding to other regions.
