Sony Xperia X Compact Leak: Aces Benchmarks Like Crazy With Unbelievable Specs
C. de LacyReplacing the former Z series, Sony Xperia X is Sony's new flagship line of smartphones. Recently, one Xperia X Compact popped out on GFXBench that indicates flagship specs with more than ideal size of less than five inches.
Android Headlines reported that the mysterious handset suddenly appeared in the GFXBench as it was discovered by "Telefoon Abnonnement," a Dutch tech blog.
The listing didn't have too many information regarding the model, but the source claimed that the unknown device is indeed the Xperia X Compact, which is in development. The specifications show that it would be the smaller variant, but not necessarily a weaker phone by its class.
Sporting a 4.6-inch display with an FHD resolution of 1080 and Snapdragon 820. The GPU installed is an Adreno 530 Graphics chip and with a 4 GB of RAM. For more details regarding the specs, check this image.
The phone has a 7-megapixel snapper on the front and 15-megapixel sensor on the rear.
The leak, however, seems a but trivial as it is extremely rare to see such figures on a compact smartphone, even with Sony's line of high-tiered handsets. It is also without Sony's nametag or model number leaving the leak to be taken as a grain of salt right now.
GSM Arena had a different take on what was revealed in the GFX Bench though. The OS listed as shown in the image link above shows as "CyanogenMod." This is a customized ROM applicable to a number of smartphones and GSM Arena does know that Sony will always have their own OS running from square one.
There's a good chance that consumers will learn more about the accuracy of this leak in the upcoming IFA 2016 in Berlin, Germany.
Stay tuned for more news, leaks and update about Sony Xperia X and its alleged Compact version.
