The iOS Appstore Jailbreak Opportunity That You Might Have Missed
C. de LacyApple was able to block the user from jailbreaking their devices with the recent updates for iOS 9.3.4 and 9.3.5. However, those who are still running on iOS 9.3.3 got access to a Jailbreaking tool from Appstore itself and a lot of users might have missed this chance.
Appstore is keen when it comes to app approval, but it seems like one app snuck in disguising itself as "PG Client." According to what Applie InsiderApple reported, the supposedly graphic artists' sharing service was actually a Chinese version of the Pangu Jailbreak too.
Unfortunately for those planning to take advantage of the chance, the app was already found by Apple and got removed it from Appstore . Apple got the app removed from their listing last Sunday as well as the link from the website.
What baffles the users is the fact that the jailbreaking tool was actually approved for a listing in the Apple Appstore. It even had the same exact logo for the former "PP Jailbreak" tool, but was only masquerading with fake screenshots.
Even so, iOS 9.3.4 and 9.3.5 already renders the "PG Client" app useless, even for users who managed to download it before Apple took it down.
The incident may have rooted from the earlier change with Appstore's policies and procedures regarding app approval back in May. It aimed to lessen the wait time for apps to be approved and this was 4 days faster than how it was in December last year and 8 days faster from February last year.
For those who weren't able to jailbreak their iPhones and iPads on time before Apple blocked it, it may be better to wait for an iOS 10 Jailbreak instead. Considering the sheer amount of time it took to release one for 9.3.3 and the short time that it only lasted.
Stay tuned for more iOS jailbreaking news.
