Electronic Arts has been keeping quiet about its upcoming title in the "Mass Effect" franchise, "Mass Effect Andromeda." Now the rumors point to a possible next-gen reveal for the Xbox Scorpio and PS4 Neo, along with a new "mystery IP."

It is no secret that EA is very excited about the upcoming next-gen console upgrades, and company executive Peter Moore confirmed this during an interview in the recent episode of IGN Unfiltered.

"I think Sony and Microsoft have done this incredibly well." Moore enthused. "They have taken what they needed to do whether it's 4K.. to keep the platform fresh for technology that's moving faster than the archaic nature of a 10-year piece of hardware cycle."

The EA exec then confirmed that EA is currently hard at work on content for both PlayStation 4 Neo and Xbox Scorpio.

According to Gamepur, EA is currently working on two games at the moment, one of which is the highly anticipated "Mass Effect Andromeda." This may mean that Moore is hinting towards a possible Xbox Scorpio or PS4 Neo version for the title.

It is already announced during E3 that the Xbox One Scorpio will not be launched until Holiday next year. If that is the case, and if "Mass Effect Andromeda" is really coming to the Xbox One Scorpio, will this change the original Q1 2017 target window for the game?

Fans have yet to see any gameplay footage for "Mass Effect Andromeda," which is causing a concern within the community. However, EA's Patrick Soderlund has reassured fans that the game is still on track.

"It's strictly that the game will get the right type of exposure at the right time and that we can the right voice for it," Soderlund said. "Right now we're focused on our big titles for [October through December]."

With this information, it may be concluded that fans will be able to finally see gameplay footage after sometime in November.

As for the game being delayed, Soderlund said, ""I get people want to see gameplay and I just came back from a short vacation and I played through the first three hours of the game."

"It's very playable, and there is no alarm about, 'Why aren't they showing it?'" the EA VP confirmed.

As for whether "Mass Effect Andromeda" will be launched on the PS4 Neo, that may be answered during Sony's Playstation Meeting next week, Sept. 7, when the console is rumored to be finally unveiled.
