Microsoft is likely to unveil its Surface Pro 5, one of the most hotly anticipated devices, sometime in October; however, the roll-out might happen next year, 2017.
It is reported that Microsoft's logic behind announcing the laptop-tablet hybrid in October is to give a tough fight to Apple's MacBook Pro 2016 which is also said to be released during the same period.
In addition, the Surface Pro 5's 2017 release date coincides with the Windows 10 Redstone 2 update's arrival.
Moreover, with regard to the Surface Pro 5's specs, it is expected to sport a 12.3-inch PixelSense display like its predecessors.
It is also rumored to get launched in a 2K and 4K display models; adding that the device is expected to feature a 4K Ultra HD display, 16 GB of RAM, 16-megapixel rear camera, and an 8megapixel front camera.
The Microsoft Surface Pro 5, may also run on Windows 10 (Redstone 2 Update) and house Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) or Nvidia Pascal GPU.
The tablet is believed to come out with an improved Surface Pen, which could pack in a rechargeable battery that supports wireless charging when attached to the tablet magnetically.
It is projected to offer a better battery and come with USB-C support for charging.
Furthermore, it is anticipated to house Intel's seventh-gen processor- Kaby Lake. The Kaby Lake processor is the Intel's codename for the 14-nanometer successor to the SkyLake. It has begun shipping to manufacturers and OEMs in the second quarter of 2016, but the volume production for the retail channel is anticipated late 2016.
Microsoft Surface Pro 5 will likely come with a price tag of $899 for the base model (non-4K UHD variant) and $1,599 for the high-end model (4k UHD variant).
The rumors about Microsoft Surface Pro 5, release date, specs and prices will still go on until the software giant unveils the information about the highly anticipated tablet.
