The addition of White Dwarf Magazine's mascot Grombrindal to "Total War: Warhammer" has now been confirmed, according to a leak.

We have previously reported that references to Grombrindal the White Dwarf was spotted in the game's Steam changelogs. This information is now supported by a leaked image of White Dwarf Magazine's November issue.

The leaked image, which was posted on the Dakka Dakka forums (via Reddit), shows Grombrindal the White Dwarf on the cover, accompanied by the "Total War: Warhammer" logo. The text below also reads "Exclusive Free New Lord." There is also a line that pertains to a certain discount, but it is hard to tell due to the image's small resolution.

Now fans are wondering whether Grombrindal will be exclusive to those who have purchased the November issue, which will spell bad news for those who don't have access to the magazine.

It is also helpful to point out that an issue of "White Dwarf" now costs $9, with the publication recently switching back from weekly to monthly releases, as announced by Games Workshop in June.

Some players are also hoping that the Grombrindal DLC will also be available for purchase outside the magazine.

In other news, the next DLC, which is rumored to be the addition of the Wood Elves faction to "Total War: Warhammer", is speculated to drop anytime in October. According to totalwars.ru, the Wood Elves DLC will be released after the Beastmen DLC.

Naval battles, however, are a different story. There were a couple of leaks about that previously, but Creative Assembly's Grace Caroll has debunked the rumor on Reddit.

"Those are ships that would have been used on the campaign map that we cut from the game," Caroll explained. "We currently have no plans to implement naval battles."
