'Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2' Confirmed Playable Characters As Of Today

In just about less than a month, "Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2" is hitting the shelves. Still, surprises are coming their way before that, especially the revelation of the new and returning characters, as well as those who are bidding farewell to the game.

As per Saiyan Land, "Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2" now has  a confirmed character count of 87, with 68 of them being playable as revealed. This may still increase due to the game not getting any official announcement about who gets to be playable and the image sourced seems to be something straight from a demo instead.

The roster includes returning characters like the various forms of Goku in normal and in Saiyan forms. Gohan in his varying ages and persona. Trunks from different timelines, Piccolo, Krilin, Tien, Yamcha and a lot more.

New characters like Cooler, Metal Cooler, Janemba, Turles, and Majin Vegeta have already been confirmed prior.

At the moment, this is already twice the number of characters from the original "Dragon Ball Xenoverse" and it will soon get more additional characters as the DLCs surface as well as additional characters that may subsequently be introduced in the on-going anime series.

There will be other announcements soon, but characters like the first form of Frieza, Nuova Shenron, Ice Shenron, Hercule, Videl, and Rasberry won't be able to return in the game's initial release at least. They could still be added in the game in the future as Bandai Namco have promised to include free DLCs for the first year of the game.

"Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2" is scheduled to be released worldwide this coming October 25. The closed beta version will be released on October 8 and the open beta will be out on October 14. Unfortunately, the beta versions will only be released to the PlayStation 4, and given the timeframe, it would be a safer bet to not expect a beta version for other platforms like the Xbox One or PC via Steam.
