EA Dice has just recently released its latest "Death Star" DLC for "Star Wars: Battlefront," and now fans just can't get enough of new contents. Fans are now awaiting the next and final DLC for the game, "Rogue One: Scarif."

Electronic Arts has announced before that "Rogue One: Scarif" is expected to arrive in 2017. Season pass holders, as usual, will be getting in on the action earlier than the rest of us, and according to Gotta Be Mobile, there is a chance that the release date of the final DLC may coincide with the upcoming "Star Wars" flick, "Rogue One: A Star Wars Story."

The next movie installment to the "Star Wars" franchise will be out in theaters on Dec. 16 this year, and there is a high probability that Electronic Arts will release "Rogue One: Scarif" DLC around the same time for those who have purchased the season pass.

As for what "Rogue One: Scarif" has in store for us, EA Dice said that players will be able to play as rebel Jyn Erso, as well as Imperial Director Orson Krennic.

Scarif is also a tropical beach planet, Gotta Be Mobile pointed out, so it is highly likely that we will be seeing some tropical maps, a radical change from the other DLC's. Then there's the usual new weapons and Star Cards included, although EA Dice has not revealed anything else as of the moment.

Given that it is too early to make speculations at this point, plus EA Dice is still busy with its latest DLC release "Death Star," it is highly likely that we will be hearing more details from the developers themselves by early December.

So what's next for "Star Wars: Battlefront" after the "Scarif" DLC? EA Dice has confirmed early this year that a sequel is already in the works, "Star Wars: Battlefront 2" (not to be confused with the 2005 Pandemic Studios title).

According to Electronic Arts' CFO Blake Jorgensen, "Battlefront 2" will feature "bigger and better worlds," and will make use of content from the new "Star Wars" movies, Gamespot reported. Jorgensen also said that the publisher is aiming to produce at least one "Star Wars" game every year.

Stay tuned for more "Star Wars: Battlefront" Scarif DLC updates.
