'Left 4 Dead 3' Is Just As Elusive As 'Half-Life 3'; How Much Longer Should Fans Wait For Release Date?
C. de LacyValve's one of the most popular stand-alone game using source engine featuring hordes of fast-moving zombies is still waiting for its installment, "Left 4 Dead 3." Was the game done for good or should fans still expect it?
As sad and disappointing as it seems, the game "Left 4 Dead 3" might be something that fans not be expecting coming around anytime soon. One strong indication that blurs the possibility of a third sequel shows on Google's search results.
No indicative news of sequels or even the slightest hint of the "Left 4 Dead 3" and its progress, let alone the idea of the sequel itself.
Despite the news that almost broke the internet regarding a tutorial video that was made a Valve employee named Tristan Reidford. The video was about a tutorial regarding transferring source engine assets to destinations platforms for various purposes and modding.
In the video, fans noticed something, which triggered the spark for the hope of a "Left 4 Dead 3" game and it was the folder that is named "Left 4 Dead 3."
While it could have been a legitimate mistake, possibilities could point to the folder falling on a pretty standard naming convention where users usually number their folders for organizational purposes. The folder could have been from the original "Left 4 Dead," but only numbered "3," possibly for certain changes that makes it different with the other two.
This have been leaked way back in July and today, no real news yet, regardless being rumored for a 2017 release.
The same long-running turned-joke meme happened with the another game from Valve, which was being anticipated for so many years. The game was the third entry to the even more popular title, "Half-Life 3."
The original "Left 4 Dead" game was released back in 2008, while the next one was out almost exactly a year after. It's roughly been seven years with no updates, but fans still hope for an installment. It's not entirely impossible, but we're better off lowering our expectations.
