The Playstation 2 classic title, western-themed action game "Red Dead Revolver" is now available to download on Playstation 4.

The game in the "Red Dead" series has made its way to Playstation 4 consoles, and PS4 owners will now be able to experience the classic western game, originally released by Rockstar Games in May 2004. The game was also released on the Xbox a month after, and was re-released on the Playstation 3 in December 2012.

For those who were in on the latest leaks and rumors, however, the PS4 release of "Red Dead Revolver" came as no surprise. Last month, known industry insider Wario64 spotted an Australian Playstation Network listing for "Red Dead Revolver," which was taken down afterwards.

Now with the recent release of "Red Dead Revolver" on the PS3 and the addition of its critically acclaimed sequel "Red Dead Redemption" to the Xbox One backwards compatibility list in July, many fans are now speculating that Rockstar Games is teasing the next title in the series, the rumored "Red Dead Redemption 2," or "Red Dead 3" for some.

Fans have been eagerly waiting for the day that the sequel of "Red Dead Redemption" is finally announced. However, Rockstar has been frustratingly mum about its latest projects as usual, keeping its thousands of fans in the dark.

Now some fans are speculating that the developer is re-releassing its first two "Red Dead" games to keep its fans busy until they are ready to announce "Red Dead Redemption 2."

While no release dates are ever confirmed, it is safe to assume that we won't be getting the highly anticipated sequel until sometime in 2018, which spells a long title drought for the renowned developer.

Stay tuned for more "Red Dead Redemption 2" updates. In the meantime, "Red Dead Revolver" is available to purchase on the US Playstation Store for $14.99.
