'Pokémon Sun and Moon' Poké Finder: Mini-Game Paying Tribute To 'Pokémon GO'?

'Pokémon Sun and Moon' Poké Finder: Mini-Game Paying Tribute To 'Pokémon GO'?

Just a few more stretches before fans finally get to play "Pokémon Sun and Moon," there are still some things that many haven't heard of or seen yet. The game has so much to offer that it may take more than your average 100+ hours of logged game time.

IGN's Joe Skrebels got a chance to have a hands-on experience with the game itself and with the two-hour limit for the demo, beating the first quest in the Island Challenge was more than just a mere challenge.

There are tons of distractions in "Pokémon Sun and Moon" that focusing on a quest, especially the main ones, could prove to be challenging in its own on top of the finishing the quest itself. This isn't, however, a bad news because it keeps the game fresh and offers heap tons of variety.

Surprisingly, all these "distraction" doesn't have anything to do with your normal RPG grind fest according to the post. Skrebels listed these features, but one stood out really high.

Poké Finder

To summarize what this is about, it is a game mode within the game that switches the players to first-person perspective and let the players snap pictures of pokémon. These snaps aren't just for display or collection though as it can be posted at an in-game social network that grades the shots.

The more likes that the shot gets, the more features for the "camera" will be unlocked like the zoom function.

This experience alone somewhat feels more like a homage to the mobile hit "Pokémon GO," with less stress of walking that is.

This feature will potentially suck even more logged game time than actually progressing through the story as there are already tons of pokémon to catch and battle. Taking a photo of every single one could be twice the challenge with the exception of having to train the players' one pokémon.

"Pokémon Sun and Moon" will be released on November 18 on Nintendo 3DS worldwide.
