'Tom Clancy's The Division': Ubisoft Addresses Issues In Public Test Servers; Update 1.4 In The Works

Ubisoft continues to revive its popular online shooter "Tom Clancy's The Division" and is currently focusing on its Public Test Servers this month.

During this week's "State of the Game," Ubisoft announces the changes it will be implementing as the PTS heads into its final week of testing.

The developers acknowledged that some people found PTS week 3 too easy, and as such, they are willing to make adjustments to the overall difficulty for the final week of PTS.

"Additionally, it became clear that there was an inconsistency in the difficulty between Underground Challenge Mode and Main Mission Challenge Mode," the devs said. "This was caused by the fact that Underground does not scale with group size like Main Missions do."

Ubisoft will now make changes in the Underground Challenge Mode, which will now scale with group size in terms of enemy health and damage, but enemy quantity will be the same. In this way, smaller groups will be encountering more enemies than before.

However, more enemies won't mean more loot, as Ubisoft lowered item drop chances in Underground.

The developer has also made changes in the "Health on Kill" skill given by the Path of the Nomad set, reducing the bonus from 20 per cent to 14 per cent.

The developer also announced that they are still working on Update 1.4, and confirmed that it will be deployed as soon as it is ready. "We continue to work on Update 1.4 so we can get it into your hands as soon as possible," Ubisoft said, "but also ensure the best quality possible."

"The Division" was a commercial success when it was launched earlier this year, and has received tons of positive nods from critics and players alike.

However, the online shooter slowly lost its spark, and has struggled to bounce back due to numerous bugs and glitches. Players have also expressed its concerns about the game's post-release content, and its DLC's have all been major disappointments so far.

Ubisoft aims to bring back the "shooter feel" of "Tom Clancy's The Division" by making major rebalancing on some of the weapons in the game.
