Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 Wifi And LTE Variant To Be Released On Early 2017 Along with Galaxy S8?
Kirsten KaneThe Galaxy Tab S3 was first rumored to be launched on September at the IFA 2016 in Berlin; however, the announcement did not happen.
Previously, it has been reported that the Samsung is close to launching the device since the company has already applied before the FCC for certification. All smartphone or tablet traded in the US must be approved by the said agency.
However, latest reports suggest that the Wifi and LTE equipped device will be released on the first quarter of next year.
According to Sam Mobile, the South Korean tech company has another plan for its new tablet. The Galaxy Tab 3 which has model numbers SM-T820 and Sm-T825 will come out on the first quarter of 2017.
"Samsung has had other plans in store," the source said. "We can now confirm that the Galaxy Tab S3 bearing model numbers SM-T820 and SM-T825 will launch in Q1 2017. The SM-T820 model number is for the Galaxy Tab S3 WiFi model, the SM-T825 model number is for the Galaxy Tab S3 LTE variant."
Moreover, Techradar reports that the Tab S3 may be unveiled together with the Samsung Galaxy S8, which is speculated to first appear at Mobile World Congress (MWC) in late February.
On the other hand, in terms of its features and specifications, the upcoming tablet is expected to feature an AMOLED screen which has 8-inch and 9.7-inch variant with 1536x 2048 pixel resolution. It is likely to run a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor or an octa-core Exynos 8890 chipset just like like Galaxy Note 7, Galaxy S7, and Galaxy S7 Edge compared to the Galaxy Tab S2, which is equipped with Exynos 7 Octa 5433 chip.
The device is said to house 4GB of RAM and an internal storage options between 32GB and 64GB.
According to NeuroGadget, the Galaxy Tab S3 might run an Android Marshmallow OS and might be packed with 4,000 mAh battery capacity.
Furthermore, the device is likely to use USB Type C and might feature an 8-megapixel front and 2-megapixel rear camera.
Speculations about the Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 will continue unless the giant company will give its official statement about its new tablet device.
