New MacBook Air to have E-ink Keyboard?
Anish AsokanWith a minor update to the MacBook Air line-up earlier this year, no proper updates have happened to the MacBook Air device. Considering the fact that the MacBook Air is still one of the popular devices from Apple, it might be right to say we might have to wait till 2017 to see a proper update to MacBook Air.
No recent announcements and no updates for long, has left many speculating that Apple might be discontinuing the product .such rumors are prevalent all over the internet. So perhaps 2017 update would perhaps the last update to MacBook Air.
There are many rumors circulating regarding the MacBook Air. One of the popular rumors is the retirement of the 11-inch MacBook Air and 13-inch MacBook Air, with a new 15-inch version only available.
The upcoming MacBook air could have a compact and slimmer design as was the case with the previous predecessors. MacWorld reports of a possible E-ink keyboard for the MacBook air 2017. With deals with Sonder Designs, famous for E-ink keyboards, many anticipate the deal is for the MacBook Air 2017.
Mac Rumors claim that the upcoming MacBook Air would make use of USB-C ports and thus would no longer support standard USB-A connections. While no clear picture exists about the type of processors, it is possible to see at least the Sky Lake processors instead of the Broadwell processors under the hood of the upcoming MacBook Air. If lucky, we could even see Kaby Lake processors. These intel processors are faster both in terms of performance and graphics and could last longer than the Broadwell processors.
The MacBook Air is expected to feature Apple-Pencil enable Trackpads and the fingerprint sensor Touch ID. There is a possibility of seeing the virtual personal assistant Siri arriving in the new range of Apple Products.
Whether a formal product launches in case of MacBook Air 2017 is not yet confirmed. But with fewer leaks, we hope Apple would not retire the MacBook Air just yet and see a much powerful MacBook Air in 2017.Stay tuned for more updates.
